We support children and young people from infancy through to adolescence. If you’re unsure whether our service is the right fit for your child, please get in touch.

No. Your child does not need a diagnosis to access occupational therapy. We can support children based on their individual needs, strengths and goals.

Your first appointment is about getting to know your child and family. We’ll talk about your concerns, priorities and goals, and spend time observing and engaging with your child through play and everyday activities. We’ll then discuss recommendations and next steps with you.

Absolutely. We value working closely with parents and caregivers and encourage you to be involved in therapy. This helps us develop strategies that are practical and meaningful for everyday life.

Yes. Depending on your child’s needs and therapist availability, we can provide therapy at our Maroochydore clinic, at home, in the community, at school or early childhood settings, and via telehealth.

Yes. We work with families who are self-managed or plan-managed through the NDIS.

No referral is required to access occupational therapy privately or through the NDIS. A referral may be required if you are accessing certain Medicare-funded services.

Occupational therapy may be covered by your private health insurance, depending on your provider and level of cover. We recommend checking directly with your health fund regarding your eligibility and rebate.

You generally don’t need to bring anything specific unless your therapist has asked you to. For your first appointment, it can be helpful to bring any relevant reports, assessments or information from other professionals.

That’s okay. Send us an enquiry with a little information about your child and what you’re noticing, and our team can help you work out whether occupational therapy may be appropriate.

We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee in accordance with our service agreement and relevant funding requirements.

No. Peaches does not attend every therapy session. His involvement is considered based on the individual child, family preferences, therapy goals and whether having a therapy dog present is appropriate for the session.
